Update May 2017

A May 2017 Microsft security update for Windows 10 conflicted with a major routine in FileBoss resulting in FileBoss not starting on some Windows 10 systems.

Versions V3.101 and later, fix the problem. You can read more about this at the page

Change file extensions from 'htm' to 'html' across many folders

Change file extensions from 'htm' to 'html' across many folders

A webmaster needed to quickly change more than 100 files (located in various folders) named index.htm to index.html to conform to new corporate standards.

The Solution

Search for Files Based on When they were Modified

He used FileBoss to quickly create a File Set of all the files named index.htm on their development drives C: and \\webwork\C that needed to be changed and, then in under a minute, changed their extensions using the Quick Set panel of FileBoss' rename facility.
